Interview for Living Stones
This past wednesday I had my interview for Living Stones. I can't really say how it went, because before I've interviewed for things and thought I did a good job and then I didn't get the position that I was applying for. When I was in the interview I thought I did okay, but then later I really felt like all of my answers sucked, and I thought of all of the things that I should have said. Maybe that means that I'll be chosen :) whatever, I'm not so worried because both alternatives have their good sides. If I don't get chosen then I have the chance to live with Stacie (if she is also a member of the "unchosen") We have our group interview next wednesday, and we are supposed to wear what we would wear to hang out with people from the neighborhood. Its funny, 'cause at first I was really thinking hard about what to wear, but then I realized that I don't have to think aboutwhat I would wear, since I can think about what I have worn for youth group.
People have been very encouraging to me about youth group stuff lately, which has been great. I know that I am lacking in some areas, but I thnk that anyone would have doubts or areas they want to improve in, or if they don't, then they are just fooling themselves. The students are the greatest though. I have never known a group of students who are so eager to learn, so responsive when I ask them to grow and to expand. Greg- the guy who started helping out about 3 or 4 weeks ago has begun leading worship with them, and they are starting to get into it, though they don't know very many songs. It has been such a blessing to have Tonya and Greg helping out. One of the students was having an issue last night nad they were able to deal with it more while I had to be leading the lesson. I have kind of gotten used to having to do it all on my on, so it has taken me a while to get used t having faithful people. But its been a welcome adjustment to make.
