So, my first week of being in charge of the first and second graders is finally over. Its been great, but one of those weeks that feels like its lasted at least 2. We've had a few problems with the schedules of whos in what room and when things are supposed to be happening. And then Kayla slipped on the monkey bars and broke out her two front teeth! Ahhh! Scared me to death! Dripping blood everywhere, tooth on the ground (we can't find the other one) She went to the dentist who says everything is fine, and they were just baby teeth, but still, very very scary and hard on a teacher's heart. I'm just going to majorly take it easy this weekend, though i do have some planning for next week to do.
In other Carrie news, its only one month till I move in with annie and move out of my house! Yay! Not that I hate my parents or anything, but it'll be really nice to have my own place to organize and do what I want with. And it will be so much more convenient for work and all of that. And if i end up going to wmu then I'll be very close to campus. Well, i think i'm going to go zonk out and not think or be responsible for anyone for a while. Did You Ever Have One of Those Days?
Lisa suggested I go to her blog and I thought that I might as well try it out to. I do love to talk (as most everyone knows) but I'll try to keep it short. I had a pretty weird day today, so I felt like doing something fun and new. I had probably the most random day of my life. It started out all good- I got to sleep in and I was feeling a renewed conviction about some changes I'm making in my life, but then after work things went quickly south. It was hot in my car (which I got only a couple months ago) and when i tried to open the window it wouldn't work. i tried the window lock thingy but it wasnt pushed. I tried the other windows but they wouldn't work either. Grr. So i decided to just go to my friend Annie's softball game and I started to drive, but I was in a bad mood and I decided i needed to eat something, so I turned around, but that ended up taking so long that I decided to call and see if it were worth my going to the game. That was when i discovered that my cell phone charger was also not working. As my cell phone went dead I decided to just forget it and go to the bank. So I'm leaning out of the door of my jeep at the ATM and trying to deposit my signed paycheck and then the machine tells me that it is being serviced and would i be so kind as to visit one of their other fine banch branches in the area? Since i had already signed my check i decided Id better go to the other bank. Even in this oversimplified version it still makes me annoyed. I think that whenever I am really having a great day spiritually, it like the Devil just tries to see how many littel annoying things he can mess with to try to bring me down and make me sin. And more often then I'd like to admit it seems to work. Thats something that I'm really working on. So, I think that I've fulfilled the title of my blog for this post.
