OKay, I really am going to bed, but I just have to say that Lisa's comment about Jakob might just rival my joel story for cutesness, and thats saying a ton. And Mr. Mark, welcome to the world of blogging, and your blog sounds exactly like you- which is great. and thatnks for blowing up my head a little, what i usually get is "miss carrie, you look funny like that" (as in when i take off my glasses) Gee thanks kids.

God's Glue Stick
A couple days ago I was sitting with the kids while they were doing an art project and they were using glue, and like all kids Joel (one of our preschoolers) was getting very sticky in all the wrong places. He turns to me and says with childhood wisdom "Glue is sticky isn't it?" I explained that yes, that was the fundamental concept of glue, that it be sticky, and he asked me a question that i really couldn't answer without getting into a lot of science that I haven't had to pull out since sophomore year of high school, and he wouldn't understand anyways. He asked me, "What did God use, before there was glue to stick stuff together?" Isn't that the sweetest thing you ever heard? I tried to explain that God uses our skin to hold in our muscles, and our muscles and tendons hold our bones in. Thankfully, this seemed to satisfy him.
Okay, so my kitten. Is a little pig. I think that her brothers kept her from getting the food when they were together, and now that she can actually get it, she is kinda obsessive. She also is an emotional eater. Which is somewhat odd from a small kitten, who has already really grown actually. But she should be a lovely cat, and after a certain significant visit to the doctor, she should be a lot calmer. No going into heat for Daisy!
As far as how I'm doing, I'm still extremely busy, but I'm finally getting used to my scedule, and the kids in preschool are getting more used to the routine, but we still have several who cry every day at drop off time, and miss carrie gets to deal with it. But they are super sweet, and cute. We have 10 girls and 5 boys, which makes for a lot calmer class compared to last year, wher we had mostly boys. And believe me, I'm not complaining, but I've actually managed to be bored a couple times! But then theres always a flurry of potty breaks and some minor disaster of some form or another.
I actually get to go climbing tomorrow. I still haven't used my birthday money, and now that I have my student ID, I'll use even less than before! I'm so excited! I've missed it, but not how stinking much it costs. Thats why i resisted getting hooked in the first place, but working at CFK its kind of inevitable.
Look- its 10pm and I'm actually going to go to bed now! Yay for me!

annie to Daisy, when she used her bare leg as a ladder. "Daisy! Not a good choice kitty!" (you'll get it if you are a childcare worker or parent)

Daisy Duchess of Earl Henderson
On our lovely Labor Day weekend I decided to visit my dear friend val up at Cran Hill Ranch. We had loads of fun, and went to pentwater and walked on the beach and went in the overpriced shops. On Monday we visited the Burrow and I saw something that I just had to take home as a souvenier. My new little baby Kitten! Can i just say that she is the cutest little cat ever! Shes kinda spacy. Okay, shes bipolar. Theres the good side Daisy Mae whos sweet and always wants to be with you and curls up on your lap and purrs. And then theres ADDaisy. Enough said. It is going to be very interesting to see how she turns out when shes an adult cat. Now i need to afford her kitty deposit, shots and all of that. She also has a wicked set of claws that i need to get clippers for.
Kid Quote Madalyn to Miss Bridget "Miss Bridget, are you going to cook the lizards?"
Quote of the Day Last of the Mohicans Cora- "What are you looking at sir?" Hawkeye- "Why, I'm looking at you miss."

Okay, so its been a while, and i keep meaning to post, but after a while i have so much to say that i never have time to say it all! Its amazing how incredibly easy it is to get busy. I was all set for a more relaxing time now that summer is over, but here i am and i already have more homework than i know what to do with (which i should actually be doing now) and work, and truth and all of that. In fact, today was Communiversity night at wmu and me and kaleena and her friend samantha worked at one of the tents to raise money for truth. Between the three of us for working from 4-7 we got $400 for Truth, a $20 tip apiece and we scalped our comp tickets for $5 each. Not bad for 3 hours work. About $60 an hour plus $100 extra! Actually the money's not for us- except for the $25- we are giving it to truth for our retreat and for other events and activities we are planning. We each also get 50 dollars toward our part of the retreat cost. It is weird being in charge of all of this now- i actually have to plan the retreat this week, but at least i've done that before. I thought i had so much to say, but now i cant really think of any of it- but i can keep chatting anyways. So, gather around kids and hear the exciting story of "carrie and the idiot man who hit on her at kohl's" This will be of great help to you men, i'm sure you shall learn a lot about women and the inner workings of our minds. So, I went to kohl's dressed up before our preschool orientation and i needed a sweater to go with it and had a few extra minutes. I got the sweater (which is really cute) and was on my way out and i guess i looked particularly good when i hear a voice behind me. Miss, um miss?" I turn around and see this guy who is the picture of the cool contemporary male. "can you help me with something?" I respond with the brilliant reponse of "umm, i guess so." "I need you to do something for me, i need you to vote for me real quick." I'm getting suspicious now, and I ask "for for you for what?" "For Mr. Nude Universe. No really, i hope i didnt offend you, im just in a cintest where i need to meet 10 happy friendly people a day and i choose to meet the lovely ladies, cause its my choice." and he gives me this cheesy smile. First of all EWWWW! And here it comes, my brilliant advise- Guys, and girl worth the having would not be interested in aguy who asks them to vote for them for mr nude universe and also- no respectable woman wants to be the girlfriend of a guy who spends all of his time hanging around outside of a kohl's to meet women. A contest to meet 10 happy friendly people aday? Please Whats even sadder is that it was still flattering to me, maybe im just choosing to be optimistic.
